case study: Joyful Branding & Squarespace Website Design for a brand New Wellness Business

When Jess launched The Happy Movement in 2024, her mission was crystal clear: to help people rediscover joy through playful movement and creativity. With offerings like online classes and in-person retreats that blend yoga, qigong, and theatre-inspired practices, she had the vision, the expertise, and the passion—but what she needed was a brand and website that could translate her infectious energy into a visual experience that would attract and convert her dream customers.

That’s where I come in.

Jess discovered my work online (thanks to a few rave reviews from her business pals!) and after just one call, it was clear we were a match made in design heaven. This project wasn’t just fun; it was meaningful—a chance to bring vibrancy and positivity to the world through design.

The brand & website Plan: Double the Party, Double the Impact

With Jess’s busy schedule, we decided to tackle her brand and website through two Design Party Days—a whirlwind of creativity, collaboration, and results. The plan was, during the first intensive day we would tackle her branding, and during the second intensive day we would tackle her website.

These days are all about maximum output without exhausting back-and-forths, and they’re perfect for bold entrepreneurs like Jess who want stunning results quickly.

design Party Day 1: creating A Brand Bursting with Joy

We kicked things off by creating a visual identity that embodied The Happy Movement’s joyous, lively spirit. With a Zoom room open all day, we collaborated in real-time to craft a brand as vibrant as Jess’s mission.

phase 1: Mood board Magic

We nailed down the vibe—playful, colorful, and uplifting.

phase 2: logo design

Starting with black-and-white concepts, we refined until it was perfect, then brought it to life with a vibrant colour palette.

Phase 3: Extra Goodies

Custom illustrations, logo submarks, and brand stickers galore! These assets were packaged in a Canva-friendly brand board, making it super simple for Jess to use them effortlessly.

Phase 4: Getting Social-Ready

We created Instagram templates to keep the fun rolling into The Happy Movement’s content strategy.

design Party Day 2: A squarespace Website That fits the vibe

With the branding in place, we turned our attention to Jess’s Squarespace website. Armed with her content and a clear understanding of her target audience, we built a site designed to convert curious visitors into joyful customers.

The Results: Joy on the Move

In just one week after launching, The Happy Movement was already booking new clients for its retreats! Jess now finds it effortless to create cohesive, on-brand content using her custom Canva assets.

This project was everything I love about working with bold, creative female entrepreneurs: big ideas, vibrant visuals, and a whole lot of personality. At Howdy Naomi, we believe design should be fun, impactful, and deeply personal—and The Happy Movement proves that joy really can move you.
